Picture this: You're @ a stallion parade & in walks a Quarter Horse stallion who's the colour of a brand new gold coin, shimmering & shining. That stallion was Colonel's Gold. I never, ever forgot that moment & I never ever forgot about ColoneI.
In 2011 I bought an unpainted Reiner resin from Sarah Rose. I had him sent straight to artist Angelica Nelson to be painted. I just knew that I wanted my boy to be painted in portrait of Colonel. I contacted his owner, Raechele of Susannah Quarter Horse Stud to ask her permission to go ahead with it. She said yes!!
On the 1-5-11 I contacted Raechele to let her know that I'd recieved the model & that I would love the real Colonel to meet him. Here are the beautiful photos from that fantastic day.
Colonel's Gold was 27 @ the time these photos were taken. All photos taken by myself. Photos of me with Colonel taken by my sister Kim.
